Vision: Do You See It So?

Vernon Armitage, a local pastor in my area, shared this statement with my church a few weeks ago. There are many areas of my life where I need to see it so, so it will be so. I have a vision for this blog.

My Vision for this Blog
I believe in the power of a person’s story and the power of sharing your life story with others. Many of you have stated how healing the project has been. Others have mentioned how their family is enjoying the project and recalling and learning of these times. You are doing something powerful!

I have limited time, resources, and abilities but I keep taking one step at a time. The progress has not been rapid, but I am learning. I SEE many things in the future though the HOW to get there is still unclear to me.

“You must see it so…Before it is so… If it is ever going to be so.”

  • I hope that this blog will start a movement among mothers and family members to value their life stories and the stories of those around them.
  • I hope that women will become better mother’s as a result of recalling their youth.
  • I hope that women who have never stopped to recognize the sovereignty of God in their lives will stand in awe as they write their story and see He was there.
  • I hope I will always clearly communicate that Christ is the reason my story is worth telling and the reason it has meaning.
  • I hope each of my participants knows how amazing I think they are!

“You must see it so… Before it is so…If it is ever going to be so.”

What is it that you have a vision for, that has not yet come to pass but you are working toward?

I can testify that it has let me see God's hand all over again. It has allowed me to see "Me" again…after 26 years of mothering and 30 years of marriage. It has allowed my husband and I to laugh about when we met…last night we got out my diary from 9th grade and I had written the first time I met him and what a great guy he was….I didn't remember that.
As for better mother…well we will see.
Thanks…enjoying the journey

I can toatally say that this is helping me to be a better mother already and preparing me for what is to come with my sensitive one in the junior high years. She looks so much like me, she's likely going to look like me in junior high, which could prove challenging for her. I love hearing your passion here in this post.

Janna, this blog is so great! God wants us to have faith, and ask for the desires of our heart. I am so excited to see how He uses this blog!
